Home Winterization

If your home or cottage is going to be vacant during the winter months you might want to consider having it winterized.  We can safely and easily shut your house or cottage down for the winter and bring it back to life in the spring. We follow the strict guidelines establised by the HUD and FHA which is used by the major lending companies in the U.S.  The checklist we have developed ensures nothing is missed or overlooked. Do you have a well? No problem, we can shut it down just as easily. The whole process takes between 60 and 90 minutes to complete with the power being turned off at the end. 

In the spring we can return to the residence and safely turn the utilities back on and bring the house back on line for you to enjoy.

Cold Weather Monitoring

If you have a home or cottage that will be largely uned in the winter months, protect it by having Done Right Home Inspection, LLC perform our cold weather monitoring. Using our heat monitoring device, we will call your house or cottage every day from November through April to ensure the furnace is working properly. If we detect the heat in the residence to be below an unsafe level, we will drive to the residence to investigate the cause. Usually there is a quick solution to the problem (power outage, pilot blew out, etc.), but there are times that an HVAC company needs to be contacted to fix the problem.  If that's the case,we will stay at the residence until the work is complete and we will resecure the residence upon departure.

Cottage Check

Portecting your cottage or home while you are away is a wise move. We will conduct a physical interior and exterior inspection of your home on a weekly basis. You can rest easy knowing that we're on the job and your investment is safe and secure.
